The masseuse who discovered the body of Heath Ledger in a Manhattan apartment on Tuesday twice called the actress Mary-Kate Olsen, before calling 911, New York City police officials said on Wednesday.
It's pretty sure they were dating.

The officials, who provided new details about Mr. Ledger’s death, emphasized that no illegal drugs were found in the apartment and that there were no obvious signs of suicide. Tests on a rolled-up $20 bill that was found in the apartment found no evidence that the bill had been used to handle drugs, they said.

According to the police, around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a housekeeper, Teresa Solomon, arrived at the apartment, at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, to do household chores.
At about 1 p.m., she went into Mr. Ledger’s bedroom to change a light bulb in an adjacent bathroom; she found him on the bed face down, with the sheet pulled up to his shoulders, and heard him snoring.
A masseuse, Diana Wolozin, arrived to give Mr. Ledger a massage about 2:45 p.m.
At 3 p.m., after Mr. Ledger did not emerge from his bedroom, with the door closed, the masseuse called him on his cellphone but got no answer.
She entered the bedroom and saw him lying in bed. She took a massage table out of the closet and began to set it up near his bed. She then went over to him and shook him, but got no response. Using his cellphone, she used a speed-dial button to call Ms. Olsen in California to seek her guidance, knowing Ms. Olsen to be a friend of Mr. Ledger’s.
According to the authorities, Ms. Wolozin told Ms. Olsen that Mr. Ledger was unconscious. Ms. Olsen said she would call some private security people she knew in New York, and hung up.
Ms. Wolozin again shook Mr. Ledger, called Ms. Olsen a second time, and said she believed the situation was grave and would call 911.
Ms. Wolozin called 911 at 3:26 p.m. to say that Mr. Ledger was not breathing. The call occurred less than 15 minutes since she had first seen him in bed and only a few moments after the first call to Ms. Olsen. The 911 operator urged Ms. Wolozin to try to revive Mr. Ledger, but Ms. Wolozin’s efforts were not successful.
Emergency medical workers arrived at 3:33 p.m., at almost exactly the same moment as a private security guard summoned by Ms. Olsen. The medical workers moved his body to the floor and then used a defibrillator and CPR, to no avail.
Mr. Ledger was pronounced dead at 3:36 p.m.
By that point, two other private security guards summoned by Ms. Olsen had arrived, as had police officers.
The police said that all five witnesses — Ms. Solomon, the housekeeper; Ms. Wolozin, the masseuse; and the three private security guards summoned by Ms. Olsen — were fully cooperating with the authorities.
The police conducted tests on a rolled-up $20 bill found in Mr. Ledger’s apartment, but found no evidence that the bill had been used for anything improper. No illegal narcotics or alcohol was found in the apartment. Prescription sleeping pills were found near the body, but it is not known if the medication played a role in his death.
The police said they were looking to examine any surveillance videos from the apartment building and the surrounding area but were also awaiting the results of an investigation by the New York City chief medical examiner. The office conducted an autopsy early Wednesday morning but said that the results were inconclusive and that additional testing was needed.

The Academy Award-nominated actor was found dead Tuesday of a possible drug overdose in a Lower Manhattan apartment, the New York Police Department said. He was 28.
Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Wednesday that Ledger was found face down in a normal sleeping position and not at the foot of his bed, as had been previously reported.
Kelly said technicians collected a $20 bill found in the apartment for testing, because of the way it was folded.
Flowers, notes and a candle were left by mourning fans on the sidewalk outside the Soho apartment building.
"You did great work and I know your fans were looking forward to what more you had to offer," read one note.
Ledger's former girlfriend, actress Michelle Williams, who was shooting a movie in Sweden, was informed of his death late Tuesday night, a movie production company spokesman said.
Williams left early Wednesday morning with 2-year-old daughter Matilda Rose, the spokesman said. Ledger was the child's father.
Ledger, Oscar-nominated for his role in "Brokeback Mountain," was found by a housekeeper trying to wake him for an appointment with a masseuse, said police spokesman Paul Browne.

Browne later told reporters some prescription medications were found in the room, including sleeping pills. He said the pills were not "scattered around," as had been reported.
No note was found, and there was no indication of foul play, Browne said.
The apartment did not belong to actress Mary-Kate Olsen, as initially reported by The New York Times' Web site and TMZ.com, citing police. Olsen's publicist told CNN the place is "not her apartment, was never her apartment."
In light of Ledger's death, President Bush on Wednesday postponed an event surrounding the launch of a public-service ad campaign warning against the dangers of prescription drug abuse.
"We thought it would be better to postpone the event rather than run the risk of anyone thinking that we were being opportunistic in highlighting the issue," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

A son referred to only as "Y Renfro" was in recently deceased actor Brad Renfro's obituary in the Knoxville News Sentinel.

We were not aware that he had a son, nor has any other online outlet.

Brad, 25, passed away on Tuesday, January 15th of a suspected alcohol/prescription drug overdose.
His funeral is being held tonight at 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.

The source explained: "The three of them were kissing and caressing one another and about four or five other people were in the room watching."
Birthday girl Kate pushed through the gathering and sprawled on the bed—and the three partygoers pounced on her.

Valentino is looking to the 90's for the final ad campaign before his scheduled retirement.

The campaign features models Amber Valletta and Shalom Harlow, who appeared as a duo frequently in the 90's, most notably on the March 1997 cover of Vogue.

The actor and his girlfriend, Brazilian model Camila Alves, are expecting a baby, publicist Alan Nierob said Tuesday.

McConaughey made the announcement on his Web site.

"Got some blessed news ... a celebration of life and bounty ... a newborn concieved (sic) ... yes, my girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together," McConaughey wrote.
Alves, who is three months along, is doing well, the actor wrote.
"We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being a mother and a father," he said.
McConaughey goes on to say, "Wish us the best, keep us in your prayers, and God bless evolution."

McConaughey, a Texas native, has appeared in films including "The Wedding Planner" and "Sahara" and was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2005.
His latest film, "Fool's Gold," is to be released next month.

Brad Renfro was found dead after a night out with friends. The alarm was raised on the morning of Tuesday the 15th of Janurary when his friends noticed he was no longer breathing.

Paramedics were called and he was pronouced dead. The cause of death is still being determined but there was no evidence of injury or foul play.

Brad was only 25 but he had an incredible career spanning almost 15 years. He had made over 20 films. Produced, directed and written films. He was an accomplished muscian and a truely dedicated artist.

He was well respected within the industry with his effortless talent on screen.

Brad had recently completed filming 'The Informers' and had expressed excitement about working with Billy Bob Thorton.

Well I am finally home with my beautiful girlfriend and our brand new little daughter. Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born on January 11th 2008 at 3:13pm.

She weighed in at 6 pounds and 7 ounces. She is 19 inches long and growing everyday already! She really is a wonderful addition to the GC/DCMA/DEADEXEC family.
We are so blessed to have this beautiful little baby in our lives.

Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears has been dumped by boyfriend Casey Aldridge because he doubts he is the father, it has been claimed.

Aldridge is insisting that TV star Jamie Lynn, 16, has a paternity test to prove he is the child’s father.

Jamie Lynn, 16, has yet to confirm Aldridge as the father and insiders say the pair’s relationship has been shaky for months.

Casey’s doubts have been revealed by a pal of Jamie Lynn’s troubled sister Britney Spears.
